About

Wendy has been in real estate since 1998, and is described by her clients as a “go getter” due to her energy and willingness to get the job done. Wendy has always enjoyed the life style the area has to offer and is just as comfortable in business attire as well as leathers, while riding around the mountains on her Harley. Wendy enjoys sharing with her clients, all the wonderful recreation amenities living in the mountains has to offer. She constantly strives to be at the top of the real-estate game and holds the Certified Residential Specialist designation, (only 3% of all agents hold this designation) as well as the Graduate of Real Estate Institute, Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource Certificate and Master of Real Estate designations. You can count on her continued course work to help you negotiate the right terms for your future. She enjoys working with first time buyers, walking them through the entire transaction, and then celebrating when they find the house that becomes their home. Her other experiences in real estate were selling and managing developments, working closely with the developer and builders including planning and design. Her construction back ground was an additional benefit for this task. “My husband and I have lived in the valley for many years. We moved from the East coast to ski, and then found all the other fantastic opportunities living in these mountains had to offer. We loved the comfortable lifestyle living here provided. We raised two great children, teaching them skiing, dirt biking, boating; now adults, they continue to enjoy all the same things. I personally felt the spirit of community in the valley so I began to get involved with numerous charities. I was taught as a child the importance of giving. My mother believed when you give, you receive. This is so true, we have personally been shown this in aspects of our lives. As the kids grew, I wanted a career I could juggle with all their activities. In 1998 Real Estate seemed the perfect fit. We had such a terrific experience when my husband and I purchased our first home, I wanted to be able to give that same experience to whomever I worked with when I became a Realtor. My diverse background also included sales and construction which gave me immeasurable tools for my real estate career. Working in sales taught me how to interact and read many personalities; the construction experience taught me to balance the many building steps required to complete a successful product. Together, these tools are what it takes to successfully complete a real-estate transaction. Listening to what the client is dreaming of and then working to find them the product that fulfills that dream, is such a rewarding feeling. When I am not helping out a favorite organization or working real estate, I do find time with my husband and friends to tour this beautiful area on our Harley’s. Yes, I ride my own. In 2002 I started a real estate company with 5 other brokers. We were busy and growing in leaps and bounds, we then purchased a Re/Max franchise. The work was very fulfilling, with busy hours, long days and constant change. As the economy shifted, I found myself wanting less business time and more selling time, with more emphasis on self-time. It was in March 2014, I decided it was time for a personal shift. I joined the dynamic woman at The Property Shop. Though my long-term aspirations continue to evolve, my professional goals at The Property Shop shall always be: helping sellers get the best, most appropriate buyer and the best price the market can bear; helping buyers become part of the dream that is home ownership, living in the Valley. As a resident of the valley since 1974, I am excited to continue contributions to my community and business through sharing my energy, focus and experiences. I am reliable and pride myself on follow up. I welcome challenges. I take responsibility for my actions and work hard to do my utmost to make all participants in any transaction feel fantastic about the outcome. I am always analyzing ways to stay balanced between building my businesses, traveling, and participating in the diverse Valley lifestyle. My hobbies (past & present) include hockey, skating, dirt biking, skiing, boating, sitting by a camp fire, wine tasting, entertaining friends & family, remodeling, learning new interests, listening to live music, reading, gardening, shooting, yoga, touring this beautiful nation on Harleys.”
